The Donation Process
Registration
Complete a donor registration form and provide a valid photo ID.
Health Screening
Answer health questions and receive a mini-physical including blood pressure check.
Donation
The actual donation takes about 8-10 minutes. You'll be seated comfortably.
Recovery
Rest for 10-15 minutes and enjoy refreshments before leaving.
Donor Eligibility
Basic Requirements
- Be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent)
- Weigh at least 45 kg
- Be in good general health
- Have not donated blood in the last 56 days
Before You Donate
- Eat a healthy meal within 3 hours before donating
- Drink plenty of fluids (especially water)
- Get a good night's sleep
- Bring a valid photo ID
